Apollo Designs was founded on more than a decade of practical engineering design experience. We’ve supported individuals, startups and established businesses in bringing their ideas to life. Throughout that journey, one thing became clear:
Too many great ideas never move forward because the path from concept to product feels complex, expensive or out of reach.
Apollo Designs exists to remove those barriers.
Our design studio draws on deep experience across the design and manufacturing spectrum, alongside a trusted network of industry partners. We are able to identify innovative and efficient solutions to problems and deliver products that are ready for the real world.
Meet the founder
Apollo Designs was founded by Archie Sandberg in 2023. Archie is a design engineer with a passion for turning ambitious ideas into real, workable products.
His background includes working with teams developing jetpacks, sustainable transport solutions and novel renewable energy systems. Through this work, Archie has supported companies as they have grown from early-stage startups into successful, well-funded enterprises.
This real-world experience allows Archie to balance innovation with practical engineering knowledge, helping ensure Apollo Designs delivers products that are both exciting and technically robust.

Part of our mission to eliminate barriers to design is helping groups and individuals get access to design support and resources. What industries and design disciplines do you work in?
Apollo Designs works across a wide range of product design and engineering disciplines. Our core experience includes industrial, automotive, aerospace, and mechanical product design but we’re not limited to these sectors. If you have an idea or product outside these areas, we’re always open to discussing how our skills and process could support your project.
Do you work with individuals as well as companies?
Yes, absolutely. Apollo Designs supports individuals, startups and established businesses alike. Our team structure and pricing are designed to be flexible, allowing us to tailor a scope of work that suits your project, experience level and budget.
Can you support just one stage of the design process?
Yes. While our services cover the full product development lifecycle, each stage can be undertaken independently. We are always happy to investigate how we can join a project at any point and tailor our support to what you need right now.
How do you approach project costs and budgeting?
We work collaboratively to define a clear scope and budget before starting. Our approach focuses on transparency and value, helping you invest in the right level of design support at each stage.
Do you help with manufacturing and supplier selection?
Yes. Through our trusted supplier network we support through manufacturing, including supplier selection, technical liaison and quality assurance. You’re also free to use your own suppliers if you prefer.
Do I need a fully defined brief before getting started?
No. Apollo Designs is set up to allow clients to come to us with early ideas rather than a complete specification. Part of our role is to help shape and clarify your brief so you can move forward with confidence.
